These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Forksy app and website (“Forksy”). By creating an account or using Forksy you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Forksy is a restaurant-discovery app that lets you swipe through nearby restaurants alone or with a partner. Restaurant data is provided by third-party sources (primarily Foursquare). We don’t operate the restaurants themselves and aren’t responsible for their food, service, hours, or pricing.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 (or 16 in the EU/EEA) to use Forksy. If you create an account on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to do so.
3. Your account
Keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Notify us at support@forksy.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
- Don’t post reviews or content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, or harassing.
- Don’t impersonate restaurants or other people.
- Don’t try to scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with Forksy’s normal operation.
- Don’t use Forksy to send spam, phishing, or unauthorized promotions.
We can suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
5. User content
Reviews, ratings, comments, and other content you submit (“User Content”) remain yours. By submitting User Content you grant Forksy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and adapt it as needed to operate the service. You can delete your User Content at any time.
6. Forksy Plus subscriptions
Forksy Plus is sold through Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing, billing, and renewal are governed by those stores’ terms. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. Cancellation must be done in your device’s store settings — we cannot cancel for you. Refunds, where available, are issued by Apple or Google, not by Forksy.
7. Free tier and ads
Free Forksy is supported by banner ads served by Google AdMob. Plus subscribers see no ads.
8. Intellectual property
The Forksy name, logo, app, website, and design are owned by Forksy and protected by copyright and trademark law. Restaurant data is owned by its respective providers (Foursquare and others). Apart from the limited license to use Forksy granted in these Terms, nothing here transfers any IP rights to you.
9. Disclaimers
Forksy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee restaurant data is accurate, complete, or up to date. We are not responsible for your interactions with restaurants or third parties (including Wolt, Bolt Food, or any service we link to).
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forksy and its founders are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us in the past 12 months or (b) €50.
11. Termination
You can stop using Forksy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Sections 5, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Vilnius, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country provides otherwise.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the changes go live counts as acceptance.
